In order to provide hygienically pure and quality milk, Promoters of Khyber Agro decided to establish milk processing plant it was also decided that plant be established in district Pulwama as Pulwama was considered as highest milk producing area.
Plot of land was arranged at Ladhu/Lethpora Tehsil Pampore of Pulwama district.
After proper survey, the project was allotted on turn-Key basis to Alfa Laval India Ltd. A constituent of world famous Swedish company Tetra pack.
The process for establishment of milk plant by khyber Agro Farms Pvt.Ltd. was initiated in the year 1997 and the project was completed and commissioned by June 1998. As a largest milk plant in the private sector with its installed capacity of 60,000 litres of Milk per day with a provision to handle 1,20,000 litres per day . The plant is equipped with most modular technology to produce Homogenised, Pasteurised, Liquid milk of various varieties like toned milk, double toned Milk, Standard and full fat, inclusive of Probiotic Dahi,Cream, Paneer and Ghee.
The plant is provided with precision quality control equipment to maintain composition and hygiene of the products.
